Names are important. They are an ingrained part of our identity, they become our brand. And names for blogs, books, podcasts, all speak to their identity as well. I named my blog J'eat? because I thought it was funny and irreverent, seemingly French, yet not, you know like me.
Now that I am embarking upon a podcast journey I have to give up that name. Turns out I'm not nearly as original as I thought. And that's ok. It's a great name, but I've got a new one that I think will speak even more to what I'm doing.
And here it is, the new name and podcast concept.
Something About Food? is a podcast that gives me, Chef Chris Clarke, the chance to invite everyone to the table. We all have to eat, and I am just the food dork to chat with you about it. Diverse guests will be talking about how food impacted them, and the tasty, memorable and outright ridiculous things they’ve eaten. It isn’t just food, it’s people, their connections to what they eat and us.
In the next few weeks, I hope to start posting links to our first shows. I hope you, oh hungry hordes, will not only tune in but turn your friends and family onto this conversation in podcast form.
I'm holed up here in the mountains of Colorado for the weekend, working on all this, prepping for some cookbook recipe photo shoots, getting some mountain runs in, taking a moment of gratitude to all who have served and died for our country and catching up with old friends. I hope your Memorial Day weekend is filled with family, friends, and festivities.
