PB and Apple, Grilled



The Old Bird would often make us grilled PB&J when we were little and we thought it was a luxury. Melting, oozing, crispy and just the right amount of grilled greasy.

Here I've updated it with some sliced apple. A little dash of cinnamon wouldn't be such a bad thing to add on either.



Earth Balance was my choice for a butter stand in. I'm a big fan, and it gives that crispness that every grilled sandwich needs. Oh and the bread was a round rustic loaf of 100% Whole Wheat. I like a good hefty sandwich, but that's me.


Yeah there it is, oozing pea-nutty goodness and crisp apple. If you can make a grilled cheese, then this could be your jam, pun intended!
